SCOPE OF WORK

Restoring a Historic Victorian for Modern Family Living

In Brookline’s Coolidge Corner neighborhood, we completed a full gut renovation and addition of a historic single-family Victorian, carefully restoring the home’s architectural character while comprehensively rebuilding it for modern living. The project included a complete interior and exterior renovation, allowing us to reconfigure the layout, expand the footprint, and modernize the home while preserving its historic presence and detailing.

The interiors were designed in a timeless, traditional style with extensive custom millwork, detailed finish carpentry, and carefully restored architectural elements throughout. Signature Victorian features — including the home’s distinctive rounded turret — were thoughtfully integrated into the redesigned living spaces to maintain the character and elegance of the original structure.

The redevelopment also included a newly created in-law suite, rebuilt and newly constructed balconies, and comprehensive structural and envelope improvements. Behind the walls, the home was fully modernized with all-new plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems to improve long-term performance, efficiency, and durability.

From planning and permitting through construction and final delivery, our team managed every phase of the renovation to create a fully reimagined residence that blends historic craftsmanship with the comfort, functionality, and quality of a modern luxury home.
